As a therapy center our mission is to provide an academic and social learning environment and promote independance for all children with autism and related disorders, that supports their individual strengths and learning styles and integrates learning and interactions within a Developmental Individual-differences Relationship (DIR ®) based approach and other evidence-based strategies grounded in the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis.
Our goal is to produce well productive and socially integrated members of society. Overcoming behavior and communication deficits allows for maximum academic success, empowering our children to function independently in real-world environments.
Our staff is comprised of a comprehensive team of professionals committed to a learning climate where all stakeholders are engaged and respected in working together to foster and support the social, emotional, academic and behavior needs of our children.
Our commitment is to engage family/guardian members in a collaborative effort and encouraging children and their families with comprehensive and effective supports in intervention therapies and academic studies so that all students will be able to meet the goals of their Individual Treatment plan.
Our administration and staff are highly qualified and trained in the principles of:
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Applied Behavioral Analysis is a process of systematically applying intervention based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for the improvement in behavior (Bear, Wolf & Risley, 1968; Sulzer-Azaroff & Mayer). ABA is evidence-based and has long been considered the most effective and significantly validated approach for teaching individuals with autism.
